Position Summary

The Preschool Internship is a year-long opportunity designed to cultivate personal growth, intentional development, and discipleship, while offering hands-on experience in preschool ministry. This role aims to provide an individual the chance to 1) explore and discern their calling in children's ministry,  2) develop practical skills for leading in a preschool ministry setting, and 3) grow spiritually as they serve the local church. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with the organization, management and execution of preschool curriculum 

  • Play an active role in training, equipping, and scheduling preschool volunteers.

  • Teach regularly during Sunday morning programming and Compass Kids. 

  • Develop and execute a plan for intentional touchpoints with first time guests 

  • Participate in the Northway Intern Development Program as able.

  • Other tasks and observation opportunities to be determined by the Preschool Minister.


Qualifications and Requirements 

  • In agreement with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and committed to exhibiting a consistent lifestyle.

  • Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.

  • Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).

  • Attend, participate, and contribute to weekly all-staff, 1:1, and team meetings.

  • Desire to connect with and care for God’s people.

  • Highly detail-oriented, relationship-focused, and self-motivated.

  • Experience with children of multiple ages. 

  • Have a passion for discipleship and equipping families to disciple their children.

  • High school diploma required.

Position Summary

The Local Missions & Mobilization Minister leads Northway Church toward a culture of service and missional engagement. This role provides ministerial and strategic oversight to Northway’s relationships with local missions partners and equips church members to engage with these partners through development and advocacy. This minister serves under the Sending Minister to develop a healthy culture of sending at Northway.

Essential Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with local ministry partners while actively evaluating and pursuing new partnership opportunities.

  • Design and implement ministry pathways and training opportunities, such as classes, seminars, and conferences, to reach and serve the lost.

  • Plan and execute Northway’s local mission events such as Backpack Day and Northway Nachos.

  • Provide compelling, faithful leadership to lay leaders and volunteers engaged in local missions.

  • Connect Northway members with local service opportunities through formal partnerships and friendship ministries.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with like-minded churches to advance Northway’s local missions goals.

  • Attend weekly staff meetings for prayer and planning purposes. 

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • In agreement with and lives in a manner consistent with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and Ministerial Expectations.

  • Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.

  • Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).

  • Demonstrated leadership and local missions experience within the DFW area.

  • Skilled in teaching, training, and providing strategic leadership.

  • Proven ability to develop others, manage administrative responsibilities, and build relationships across diverse cultures and demographics.

  • Actively models a missional lifestyle within the context of the DFW community.

  • Spanish fluency is preferred but not required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or suitable professional experience required.

Position Summary

The Ministry Assistant serves as a flexible and dependable administrative support role within Northway Church. We are currently seeking support across three key ministry departments: Lead Pastor, Sending, and Training. Depending on the strengths and availability of applicants, this may be structured as one full-time or two part-time positions. Ministry Assistants may serve in one department or flex between departments based on ministry needs, and are responsible for supporting communication, scheduling, hospitality, and event planning. The ideal candidate is eager to contribute to the mission of the church through faithful, detail-oriented, and behind-the-scenes service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide administrative support to assigned ministry leaders, including scheduling and assistance with expense reports.

  • Assist with registration, logistics, and execution for events, classes, trips, and meetings.

  • Coordinate hospitality needs for assigned ministries.

  • Respond to internal or external communication needs as directed.

  • Take meeting notes or assist with agenda prep as needed.

  • Anticipate and proactively meet evolving administrative needs within the assigned area.

  • Attend weekly staff meetings for prayer and planning purposes.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • In agreement with Northway Church’s Statement of Faith and exhibiting a consistent lifestyle.

  • Comprehensive understanding and profession of faith in the Gospel.

  • Faithful covenant member at Northway Church (or pursuit of membership upon hire).

  • A heart for ministry expressed through administrative service and behind-the-scenes support.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; detail-oriented and dependable.

  • Proactive and flexible; able to adapt to new responsibilities as ministry needs evolve.

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Potential availability on Wednesday nights for Northway Training and on Sundays.

  • Experience in ministry or administrative roles preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
